ILLH Hosts Dr George Anane

The Institute for Land, Livelihoods and Housing (ILLH) is delighted to host Dr George Anane, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, for a one-month research stay.
Dr Anane is the Deputy Registrar at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani, Ghana, and a Postdoctoral Fellow in CUBES, funded by the WITS–TUB–UNILAG Urban Lab. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Geography and Sustainability Science at UENR.
He completed his PhD at the WITS–TUB–UNILAG Urban Lab (School of Architecture and Planning, Wits University), where his research focused on peri-urban land administration and spatial change in Ghana. His broader research interests include peri-urban transformation, place-making, the informal economy, land use planning, and spatial justice.
During his residency at ILLH, Dr Anane will collaborate on research and capacity-building activities focusing on land governance, urbanisation, and sustainable development in Africa.
