In June 2025, a validation workshop was held to review and refine the draft Land Policy of The Gambia. The workshop brought together government officials, local authorities, civil society, and academia to provide input and ensure the policy reflects national priorities and international best practices. Prof. Uchendu Eugene Chigbu, Director of ILLH, provided technical support during the drafting process. Stakeholders discussed key themes including land tenure security, sustainable land management, and climate resilience. The workshop successfully validated the draft policy and generated recommendations to guide its finalization and future implementation.
